It’s pretty amazing how often we take a look around us and find that there are other Baltasar post-ops who live in our corner of the world.  There have been enough of us in several areas to make things a little more formal by starting local support group meetings.  You can find more information about these groups below:

Portland, Oregon Baltasar Support Group Meeting
     This group meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at 10:30 a.m. for about two hours.  We meet at Cedar Mill Bible Church (12208 NW Cornell Road, Portland, OR  97229, you can find a map at http://www.cmbc.org/index.php/when-we-meet/location/67-about/16-church-location-and-campus-information ) on the 2nd floor.  It is easiest to enter the building through the back (south side of the building) doors.  There is handicap parking, and an elevator once you’re inside the building that goes to the 2nd floor.  We meet in Room P201A.
     Quite a few of us get together to go out to lunch after support group meeting each month.  If you would like to join us - we’d love to have you there.

Central Mississippi Baltasar Support Group Meeting
     Sharon Currie leads this group that meets together several times each year.  Dates, times, and location are all subject to change, so please contact Sharon directly for further information.

Houston DS Support Group Meeting
     What was originally started as a Baltasar support group meeting has morphed into a general DS support group meeting over the past couple of years.  The group typically meets the first Saturday of each month.  Location and time are subject to change.  You can find more info regarding this meeting posted regularly at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/texasDSsupport/

Raleigh, NC DS Support Group Meeting
     Contact Laura for information. Meetings are typically the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with location changing from month to month.

Kansas City DS Support Group Meeting
     Meetings typically occur the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  Location changes from month to month.  Please contact Karen in Kansas at kst1sumo@everestkc.net for further details.
