Soundtrack

One of the things that Mom encouraged us to do throughout her life was to praise God through song!  Music was always going.  And in the last couple of years of her life, there were some songs that impressed us (Dina, Jessica, Jonathan, and William - particularly) that defined the last months of sharing Mom’s life and her journey HOME.  A lot of these songs were playing in the car when we were going somewhere with Mom, some of them were playing in the Condo or at the McBride’s house - Mom found comfort in them.  Others were heard when you entered her suite at Alterra - particularly during the last few weeks of her life.  When the music would start - when she was the weakest and so obviously close to that day when she would be welcomed into the halls of Heaven - she would visibly relax and sometimes even smile.  (Smiles were a rare gift at the end.)

Here are the songs that we put together to play as the background music at her Memorial Service.
